Hey there, yeah, haven't blogged for a while.

I was just too busy doing schoolwork, and I finally got into 3d in flash.

 

I must say that at the moment I know almost nothing about 3d, and I'm starting with the beginner tutorials. So far I've seen three flash 3d engines:

 

Away3D - a powerful, widely-used and good looking 3d engine, free to use.

 

 

 

Papervision3D - a clean, fast, popular 3d flash engine.

The article gives a few technical differencies for Flash and Silverlight, however, I found the programming feature the most interesting.

 

 

The scripting language of Flash is Actionscript, that comes with 'huge, powerful class library for developing online browser-hosted applications and stand-alone desktop applications'.

It can interract with other data bases and languages like JS, XML, PHP, ASP and others.

After a short break, I'm coming back to flash development and have a next flash game in plans already. It's going to be a fast-paced shooter with RPG elements, can't say more at the moment! But I promise that the graphics (at least) won't make you want to stab yourself in the eye.

 

What have I been doing during this 'break'? Well, the school started again, and I had to get used to it once again. Oh, and my ping is much better now. (:
